Casa Blanca  Night Club

The brief for the project was to design a space that has a warm atmosphere with style and character. The client drew inspiration from the movie Casablanca, taking from it the elegance that is portrayed throughout the film but not the era’s design style.

We had to renovate a double story heritage building from which the ground floor will be utilised as a night club and the first floor a private function area.

The nightclub can accommodate 1000 guests downstairs which have the option of four areas to indulge in :

• Outside seating area with a bar surrounded by landscaping and a Moroccan fountain
• Dance Floor displaying raised upholstered DJ Box, leading onto a 13 m long bar constructed with hand made concrete slabs with an African Mahogany counter top
• VIP Lounge with it’s own private bar
• Retro Lounge with three television screens displaying the only trace from the movie Casablanca screened in silence

Custom made hand printed tiles decorate from floor to ceiling, filling the space where the walls where removed. The bathrooms resemble a black and white classic chic colour scheme.

On the first floor level is a Upmarket lounge, the space can cater up to 250 guests which is hired out for private parties. This area has it’s own feature bar which will add to the fourth bar in the building.
